We're in the home stretch! 🎉 Just 4 days left!

The second 5x7 illustration print (Miss Foxglove) has made a lot of progress, but she still has a ways to go. Here she is so far...


I love where she's going, but she's missing some of the texture, contrasting shadows and color pop the Salesman illustration has—and of course, there's more general cleaning up to do. I'm also not quite happy with the look/proportions of the face (especially the mouth), and she's missing some jewelry, so expect changes there. I think her little shark teeth are very cute though. 😆

I'm also excited to say that we're safely past the $30,333 stretch goal! We're now around $31K raised, and closing in on our last stretch goal: little eye filler pins 👁️The filler pins will be available as add-ons when we hit $33,333, but 1 free mini eye will also be gifted to backers with pledges $45 and above!



I've decided the sharper, "reversed out" version will be the final design for these little eyes, as I think they are more striking and recognizable at a small size. I'm honestly hoping to wear one (or two) on my collar or lapels 👀

We've firmly passed the $28k stretch goal, and as of this update, we're $1,761 away from the next stretch goal: 2 new dangling pins! The plan originally was just 1 pin, but with this project's theme, it seemed proper to have a new pin for each type of metal.🌗
 

With 8 days left, I feel pretty confident we can hit this goal, so 2 new pledge tiers have been added: 

With the $30,333 stretch goal, both the Mirror and the Grimoire designs will be available as an option for dangling pins. This includes all pledge levels and add-ons (that include dangling pins) and these do not require an extra add-on purchase. 

These 2 also bring the total of dangling pins to 6, which matches the number of standard pins, and the number of small pins... 6, 6, and 6 😱

I've finished the chibi artwork that I started day 1 of this campaign. These cuties have now been collected into a new sticker sheet! When adding a sticker sheet to your pledge, you can choose between the original sticker sheet featuring all of the initial pin designs, or this new, colorful chibi-centered design.



The "pre-launch follower" freebie is still the original "all initial pin designs" sticker sheet and there will not be an option to choose your sticker sheet, to keep the Pledge Manager a bit simpler.

You can choose any small pin designs you like for the "small pin set" add-on! You do not need to get 1 of each small pin. Feel free to get 6 green bottles, or 3 of each cameo, etc. I figured there was no reason why backers wouldn't be able to choose—other than it'll make the survey longer. The language on that add-on will be made more clear.

I posted some manufacturer sample photos before launch, but I now have some Teapot and Teacup pins in hand! Today I took some nicer photos of these designs to give you a sense of what the pins will look like—especially the copper plating + its color scheme. :)




What's Left:
The Salesman illustration will need final tweaks, and the Miss Foxglove illustration needs to be completed. The sketch will be shared here soon, followed by the final artwork. 🙌

I received some requests for art prints, and now, 5x8 soft-touch prints are available as add-ons for $13! This year, prints will be single-sided (unless folks really love double-sided), and there will be two designs: the shadowy "Salesman" and the vampiress "Miss Foxglove." They will be full color!

Right now, there is only a wip of the Salesman—the pretty vampire lady needs a little more time, but rest assured she will be just as cute >:D I will keep working on these pieces throughout the campaign so you can see how they develop from sketch to final! 

A set of small (~1") pins was the clear winner of our stretch goal poll! I've placed this set at a goal of $28k—which I think it definitely within reach. I spent a lot of time this weekend developing and refining sketches, and I'm very happy with where they're going:
 


This set will follow the black nickel & copper color scheme—except for the little portraits/cameos. I am planning for those to be black nickel or dyed black metal. I'm aiming for all these pins to be roughly 1", but some may need to be bumped up in size slightly. As we get a bit closer to $28K, I'll make these available as add-ons and likely as their own tier for folks who just want the small pins. There will probably also be a higher tier that has the full collection of unlocked pins + the small pin set.

More refined designs with color and metal choices will be coming very soon, so people can have a better idea of what these will look like.

A Larger, 3" Pin
The next winner of the poll was a larger pin, so I decided to tackle that design too. I'm not 100% sure of the complexity yet, or if this will be an add-on only, like last year's "six legged-stag." But again, more refined designs with color and metal choices will be coming very soon!
 

Lastly, more eyes
If we hit $33,333, some tiny little eye filler pins will be available! And not only that, a little eye will be given as a freebie for everyone who pledges $45 or more.



Lots of early artwork in this update, but I think you can get a sense where things are going! I may have one last stretch goal to consider after $33,333, but we'll see how things shape up, as fulfillment is already looking like a huge job this year XD

More Six-Legged Stags Available
These add-ons got snapped up pretty quickly the first day, so I thought, why not get more made? There are now more slots for this 3" pin if you missed out initially!

It makes me so happy to see Shadow & Brass resonating with folks. I spaced stretch goals out a bit more this year to give myself more breathing room, but everything is still unlocked day 1! And we're almost at $15K!! 🎉 So that means... it's time to decide what's next 👀

I've got some cute stickers in the works, as I am a sticker fiend. These little guys are a still a rough draft and will probably appear on a new sticker sheet, but a die cut version isn't out of the question. They'll get cleaned up and will likely have a couple more friends joining them to make things feel more complete.


But aside from those, I want new stretch goals and add-ons to be more pin-focused compared to my last campaign. I actually have a lot of cut pin sketches for this collection, so it may be time to return to them... 

Some new stretch goal options:

I think new colorways could be a ton of fun—a palette swap or even a "monochrome" variant for instance. I'm not going to promise an alternate colorway for the entire collection, but let's see where the void leads us. 👁️
